With a width of 24 cm, the NEW radiator is favoured choice in the shifter classes where greater cooling capacity is required. In direct-drive classes, however, it can be used by those seeking for maximum performance.
The NEW radiator boasts a double-pass layout designed to improve cooling. The water enters from above only in the innermost part of the radiator, the closest, so to speak, to the driver. From there it flows downwards through the first half of the radiator core dissipating heat for a first time. Once in the bottom tank, it goes back up through an external aluminium tube welded to both tanks and heads towards the second portion of the radiator core, the one furthest from the drivers seat. Also this time around, the water will go through the tubes from top to bottom to complete a second cooling cycle before flowing in the direction of the engine thanks to the external water pump. This special internal configuration made it necessary to equip the radiator with a pressure-relief hole for an easier venting.
The top tank inlet, with a curved shape, is designed to make sure that the water flows through all the tubes, so as to fully use the available surface. Like all the other products by New-Line, the NEW radiator matches all our excellent manufacturing standards: individual hand assembly, TIG welding and meticulous attention to detail. It’s suitable for use at any time of the year. In case of especially high temperatures, it can be paired with the Supplementary.
